    Free iPhone site a scam???

    Hi Everyone

My friend keeps trying to get me to sign up to get a free iphone from freetechnology. He is convinced that it works and that all I have to do is get 12 people to sign up for a DVD trial and they send me a free iphone. It seems a bit too good to be true and a little bit like a pyramid scheme. Has anyone tried one of these offers? Do they work?

Just to let you know I have done something like that already and got a 360 aelite out of it. Its a new thing called affiliate marketing that has enbale things like this to happen. You hsould reseacrh it like i did as there is a big opportunity here layed infront of you to actually save alot of money on the most expencive luxuaries like free iphones, free PS3s and now free HDTVs. Hopefully, i will be getting mine soon, just need a few more referrals to complete offers then I can have 2 freebies on my list.

Well I hope this has come as some encouragement for you , and good luck in trying

Oh please - anyone with half a brain KNOWS that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. These scams have been running for years and I have not heard of ONE person who has actually received anything but grief and lies from these touts.

NOTHING is FREE except advice. A plasma TV costs £x and an iPhone (why anyone would want on is beyond me) costs £y. If you want either, BUY THEM!

    SHARK!

Re: Free iPhone site a scam???

    Hi

I tried one of these sites to get a free Wii. The difficulty I had was that the link I sent people who signed up for 'the film deal' did not contain any code to link it to me therefore I did not get the referral. The staff on the 'free Wii' forums were helpful but stated I needed x, y and z to prove that the referrals were linked to me. Only one friend had kept a note of details by saving web pages as she went and they did credit me with her as a referral true to their word, however, I needed five.

I think you'd need to get your 12 friends to agree to definitely do it, contact the promoter and ask them how to ensure that any take up of deals is linked to you and try it from there. I was at the stage of offering people the £10 cash to join the Bingo site (£50 for a Wii is good!) and spend my money to get a Wii, but didn't as I was unsure how the referral system was linked to my account for the Wii and didn't want to waste £50 in an experiment.

I ended up buying a Wii (they weren't in the shops at the time I started the pyramid scheme).

If you are going to try it make sure you have friends who will definiely take up the referrals and also you contact freetechnology.co... and ask them how you ensure that any take up of offers is credited to you.

Also please note that these promoters record the IP address from where the offers are taken from, so if you have 12 friends round for a beer and they all agree and do it from your PC you will get no referrals - they need to do it at seperate computers, it's in the small print! From looking at all this quite extensively I think it operates like cashback on mobile phone bills - they do pay out but the rules are tight.

Do your homework and read the small print before working out if it's worth the hassle. Good Luck!

Perhaps you can end the 'do these sites work' debate!

Don't know if this helps or not,

    Regards

    saru

Re: Free iPhone site a scam???

Actually, its possible to get such items for free, you just got to be clever...

If you can't get it for free then you will defo get such products such as the iPhone for around £10.

    Check out exceem.

This is a community of people who help each other out to get their offers completed to get cool gifts and items for extremelly cheap prices.

I have had so far an iPod Colour (3 years ago) an Xbox360 (Last year) and soon I will be getting an iTouch from freepay. Problem is that people are so quick to chuck negitive comments at such things instead of actually doing a little research.

Yes their are scam sites but there is also decent honest people that run this as a business and its very profitable.

Yeah, I got a free PS3 from a similar scheme. if you can get people to sign up they do tend to pay out.

Just put any website that is offering one of these deals through google and see the reviews. Bought an ad on Google AdSense for £20 and got the refferals in 2 weeks.

Re: Free iPhone site a scam???

It's such a shame that so many people just immediately dismiss these sites as scams. They are by no means a scam or any kind of con. They work in the same way as internet cashback sites like Quidco, RPoints etc which many people use on a daily basis to great success. The only difference is that cashback sites award cash for people/customers being reffered whereas the free gift sites offer 'credits' which can be redeemed towards a 'free' gift.

However, actually gaining enough credits to receive your gift is by no means easy and can take a very long time! As the saying goes, you don't get anything for free. Here, the item you receive may be free (or at very low cost), but you 'pay' in terms of the time you commit to receiving it. The companies supplying the gifts, do so in return for gaining more customers which are worth more to them than the cost of the 'free' gift.

These systems do work, provided you are prepared to invest some time and effort into them.

Re: Free iPhone site a scam???

Heard a lot about these sites recently. Was fed up with the popups you've won this etc.. Decided to do some investigation into these type of sites. Firstly i done some research on a site called exceem search in google for it. It basically had reviews of sites and such. Anyway cut a long story short I signed up to a site I felt comfortable with and after 3 weeks I received an iPhone. It can be hard work and patience is most certainly needed. Have a look on this site also getafreeiphone Good luck! I love a good freebie

I've done the same through FreeGiveaway and I should be ordering my free xbox AND ipod this weekend. Was a little unsure to start with but I joined in on Exceem got lots more info and swa lots of people getting their gifts so took the plunge.

I am so glad I did, I can assure everyone this is not a scam at all.

If anyone has any questions then email me
