We are buying a property in portugal as a holiday home . i need to raise funds either as a further advance from current home in the uk or apply for a euro or sterling mortgage. The seller has offered me a sterling price for the property as he is english. which would be the best option for me euro or sterling mortgage.

Hi...it is usually the case that if you get paid in sterling you should have a sterling mortgage. The exchange rate would outweigh any savings that could be achieved by seeking a lower euro rate.
