    E.ON PRICE INCREASES

CAN I REMIND THE FORUM MODERATORS THAT POWERGEN DONT EXISIT ANYMORE!!

Any way,it seems e.on despite the vast profits they make from the uk,have felt the need to join the price increase bandwagon by slapping 10% average increase on electric prices and upto 15% on gas.

The uk government as always are only paying lip service to the problem.

Im still fighting to cancel my e.on account because with the latest price increase it gonna take ages to pay the debt thats on the account.

Does anyone know a good consumer lawyer.

Dear BRED ARMY (an army marches on its stomach)

1 CAB and quiz lawyer for half hour about how to identify good consumer lawyer

2 Law Society - similar principle

3 Your local Reference Library librarian may be able to point you in the direction of the solicitors' directory which from memory may rate solicitors but I think it was barristers that were rated.

I am concerned that you are getting into a strop about having to pay a bill roughly equivalent to what my dear departed grandad would have had to pay for three houses. Please also remember that power company ceos have feelings too and can't you just understand how mortified a ceo would be to read that you are accusing him of profiteering. Now pull yourself together and nix with the luxuries like eating and heating until this bill is paid off. And don't forget to include a service charge of at least 10%. You er... don't know where I live do you? Oh...

Good idea on leaving E.ON (not Powergen!), once your debt is settled don't forget to shop around and protect your price for as long as you can as the big boys aren't ever going to share their massive profits by cutting costs.

At least Ofgem are invitigating the market for its true competitiveness...

Read this the other day, its about business electricity, but gets the point of switching across pretty well:
