    Email with Outlook Settings...

Direct Save Telecom would like to clarify any confusion or misunderstanding that there may be regarding the email facility. Policy has now been confirmed as the following; those customers who have both calls or broadband with DST will have their email accounts activated to work in facilities such as Outlook. Non-DST customers can create and access email addresses through a web-based facility only. Should you require further information or clarification please feel free to contact our Customer Care Team on 0845 272 0072.

    Re: Email with Outlook Settings...

Or put another way, DST don't understand how Microsoft products work and cannot tell you how to do this. The above e-mail is complete rubbish as ALL DST product will work with Microsoft products, it is merely a case of knowing HOW to set these up and for that I would suggest that anyone goes to a competent IT professional who has been in the business for longer than the ISPs. The only clarification required here is that there are TWO distinct versions of Outlook, one that is found as part of the Office Suite of products and Outlook Express which is a cut down version of the Office suite. In some instances it may not be possible to configure web mail services with Outlook Express, but these are VERY rare.

DST, If you need professional help, please ask - my team have only been doing this for 25 years so we may actually know what we are talking about!

Sorry if you think this is rude, but we are the ones who have to pick up the pieces after you make statements like this on the web. Be clear of your facts before posting and we'll all be happier.

    SHARK!
