    Ebico-switching

Just used the gas/elec comparison tab. Ebico came out tops but seem to recall they are part of Southern elec, should I anticipate a price increase soon. Also their reviews all show 10/10 in all fields is there a gremlin in the system?

    Circumstances alters cases!!

    Re: Ebico-switching

I switched to Ebico 15 months ago. No problems at all. The billing is done by Southern Electric. However, I do not pay by direct debit. I pay no more by getting the bill at the end of the quarter.

Ebico's site will give you latest prices. However, they don't seem to change prices very often.

Could I give you one tip. Try inputting the information again but go for seperate suppliers for Gas and Electricty. When I changed it was cheaper to buy gas from Ebico and Electricity from Scottish Power. It was still the same last time I checked. I'm not an expert.Good luck. Kevin

    Re: Ebico-switching

    Hi,

I have used Ebico in the past for both gas and elecetric. They're admin work is done by southern electric. Good service providers!

As to price increase, this is rare with this company but does happen when the market goes wild..... BUT if your getting a good price now with Ebico then swtich, dont wait around.....

If they increase their price then you can inform them you are not happy with the changes and they will allow you to switch as usual and you would continue paying the present rates until you switched to another supplier.

PS. this is the same with all suppliers, so, if you ever find a good deal, go for it!!!

    Re: Ebico-switching

Ebico use Scottish and Southern Energy Group as their licensed supplier.

The bills/statements come from the relevant power distribution company for the region you live in, eg Southern Electric/Gas in England, SWALEC Electric/Gas in Wales or Scottish Hydro Electric/Gas in Scotland but state you are a Ebico customer and are charged at the Ebico prices.

Ebico have just increased their prices as from the 1st April 2008 for the first time in around 3 years but if you search any comparision sites, you will find they are still one of the cheapest and their customer service (again operated by the Scottish and Southern Group) is second to none.

    Highly recommended!

Their prices went up on 1st April 2008. I've been with them for over 2 years and yes I would give them10/10.

    Re: Ebico-switching

To switch to Ebico you can apply via their website or by telephone. The organisation ebico is a co. in the uk. You could always try looking for the "apply now" badge on their website. But considering your previous posts you might be safer telephoning them on 0800 458 7689 (that is, after you have checked that it is a sensible tariff for you to subscribe to.)
