Hello All
Ok so you can tell from the Bankruptee part that I have been completely useless with money in the past. Student days and easy credit are both a distant memory. I have been discharged since October last year. I have changed my ways and have managed to save a couple of grand and inherited the rest.
I’ve started reading all the good advice here and obviously will get an ISA on the go for this year. I currently have a basic Coop current account but am sick of having an Electron card and no cheque book. My questions are:
1) With a lump sum such as this, can I use it as leverage to apply for a decent current account, perhaps one linked with savings?
2) Is this the right place to ask about rebuilding my credit? I have no idea where to start and it looks near impossible to achieve this within the six years it being on your credit record.
Any help would be appreciated
Bob
