    Dental

My apologies if this has already been covered but I'd like some advice on dental cover.

Having just been to the dentist this morning, I've decided I need to go private because I'm not entirely satisfied with the treatment I've been getting.

Not for the hard part - who should I get cover with? There are so many different companies and alot of them have so much small print which in the end means you're probably not covered unless you pay a fortune. Can anyone recommend a good company who won't turn round and tell me I have to fork out, despite paying the premium?

I work for an insurance company, as some of you may have heard of judging from some posts, called Homeserve. I know what a b!tch insurance places can be!

    Please stop!

dont leave your dentist because of the treatment not to your standard.

I did this 2 years ago and have regrets over and over!

Here it is.........Private or NHS they will all treat you the same! but private will be more expensive for the pleasure.

    Not to mention the prices!!!!!!!!!

    Here is mine!

    Fergus and Glover dental surgeons

    1st visit £85

    Filling (small) £85

    Filling (Large) £125

    Extraction from £70 per tooth

    Root canal from £300.00

    Check up £30

    Ceramic crown £550.00

    Convinced?

Dont be a fool! Here in the north east there is a minimum wait of 2 years to get a dentist! Swallow your pride and stay put! If you have a complaint then follow the legal procedure but DONT LEAVE!!!!

    Just food for thought!

Thanks for the advice. I am still going to look into a dental plan though as even though I'm exempt for a few months (due to pregnancy) my partner needs to find a dentist too and it all adds up.
