I believe that I read this yesterday (or recently) and that you are an employee of this company.
Basically, the policy isn't worth using to wipe your backside as it contains so many weasel clauses that you'd be lucky of they even knew what the product was let alone actually repairing it. As for the Tech Guys - these are possibly the worst examples of Bliar's Britain and so-called experts I have ever come across. Thankfully, some of them keep my business going as we go out to fix what they can't (you know, things like fuses in plugs, reading instructions ... basic stuff).
I would contact the manufacturer directly and ask for their assistance. If they can't repair it, no-one can. If you have house contents policy, you may consider claiming against it.
