Chaucer insurance? any1 heard of them r they any good? quik response plz

They also told me that If I take a premium with them I can only do a set number of miles a year. Obviously the less miles and less my premium is. Is this common practice?? Ive never heard of it before.

    cheers thanks.

I'm probably replying a little later than you hoped but I'll answer anyway.

Chaucer are a good company based in Whitstable in Kent. They don't use call centres overseas, they will accomodate modified vehicles and their underwriters are flexible with terms. In actual fact, their underwriters are pretty friendly too... it's a rarity to find a friendly one in the trade lol! <Whistles> ;o)

Do you have any idea what product you are being quoted for? Ie. Chaucer '????', Chaucer Perform, etc? Some products will restrict the mileage but I'm sure one of the underwriters could tweak this for an extra premium, if it is not excessively more than what the product restricts it to already.
