    car hire

I hope someone can help me as i'm at a loss as to what to do next. I have used a car hire broker many times to pick up a car when i travel to spain which is frequently. I became quite comcerned when i found that the petrol refund back to my credit card did not happen. The broker was excellent and i got a full refund on my next visit to spain. Because of this slip up I have started to check my credit card statement more closely and as yet have found at least three occasions when the refunds due have not happened. I'm checking with my card company to see if others have been missed too. I've e mailed broker to no avail, they just do not answer. I have telephoned but they do not enter into any conversation about complaints at all it has to be by e mail or recorded delivery. They owe me a substancial amount of money and I want it back. What can I do?

    Re: car hire

Yvonne --- Once you have contacted the broker and they have not responded to you, then you are entitled to contact your credit card issuer asking them for a chargeback claim form to be sent out to you.

Once your card issuer is aware then they can return the funds to your CC and recover the funds from the company that is wrongfully holding onto them.
