Calling all car dealers - is it a good deal??

    Hi,

This is my first post on here. Last week I put a deposit (£500) down on a 54 reg Audi A4 saloon, 1.9 tdi sport 130 , GMHB audi body kit, FASH, leather and DVD sat nav,110K miles, excellent condition- £10K - its at an independent dealer. I've had several sleepless nights worrying about it and perhaps I made a rush decision without doing enough research. I’ve spoken to several other dealers; 2 have said it’s about right and one said it’s too much... Can any other dealers give some advice???

    Many thanks :)

Based purely on what's available on autotrader's website, I would be inclined to say that this car seems resonable for it's price. I have noticed that most others are about 03/53/04 reg's for the similar money.
You gotta tie yourself to the mast my friend, and the storm will end.

Re: Calling all car dealers - is it a good deal??

Thanks from the reply jjnaughalty, I guess I'm getting hung up on the mileage (110K), plus I've looked in Parkers etc guess the actual markert is a better indication of the true value than the "price guides"! - I rang Audi today and asked what they would give me if I were to trade it in... they say £7K+ - so how do you think the price of the car is compared to such a trade in value from a main dealer? Thanks again!

Being honest, you are paying top money for the car, and IMO..too much! It's hardly a bargain, but I suppose if you will be keeping it for a good few years and it's in excellent condition, it's not too bad.
