    Buildings & Contents Insurance

I'm struggling to find an insurance company that will insure my property as it had subsidence and was underpinned in 1985. It's had a structural engineers report in 1992 which shows no movement and we had a full structural engineers report completed when we purchased the property in 1995 which again showed no movement. I'm currently insured with Zurich however the premiums have increased dramatically over the last couple of years and I wanted to compare to another provider.

Hi --- Just had a quick trawl through some old posts, we used to have a really nice young man called RGB who was a regular member at one time and he recommended the below firms, himself being involved in the insurance sector.

I wonder if he still pops in to read or contribute. ??

I wonder where he got to....???

But I honestly assure you that I am not Dave. I am too good looking and generous to even resemble him.

Do you remember the member who was constantly changing his username? He is still around and I grew to admire his sense of humour and enjoyed some of his eccentric posts.I think he fell foul of the moderators a few times.

As a separate point, it is completely pathetic for somoene to use more than one username here. It's a financial forum in the main and for someone to use sock puppets to gain credence or run away from debateable posts shows a pretty weak character.

Aaah well. Some have less backbone than others.

I remember the member you're speaking about!! I can't remember his name(s) because it went to 'absent friends' a few times, but I think he was Welsh or something? He was funny!!

I wouldn't necessarily agree that it's 'completely pathetic' for someone to use more than one username, but I catch ya drift! It is a little odd. Perhaps it wouldn't let them log in on the other one? I think Indi and Cat had problems signing in? Off you go with the typical negativity again though, before seeing the bigger picture LOL!!!

If they had log in problems then they could easily give the reason for the change. Then there is continuity of posting and we know whether to give credence or not to the various posters.
