Just recieved a letter from bt saying,"at bt we are always doing our upmost to keep our prices down"

Just recieved a 75p a month reduction on my talk 2 plan(Give from one hand)

What then made me lmao is on the next paragraph which stated the cost of line rental was to rise 75p permonth(take from another)

So in a nutshell b.t have wasted valuable tree paper in saying my bill isnt really gonna change at all!!

Yup. Line rental up by 75p. A postal bill more than doubles in price to £3.75. A two minute call is doubled in price. A one hour call twenty times the previous cost. An arbitrary round-up in BT's favour adds an extra 8% to calls. It must be quite fun working in their tariffs devising department.
