I received a letter this morning that says the following:
We recently sent you a letter with the details of your new electricity contract with us. Unfortunately, when we sent you this confirmation letter, some of the tarriff information was incorrect. I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
In the letter, we wrote that your Tier 1 rate was for the first 225kwh, when acutally it is for the first 125kwh. Also some prices in the table were missing.
I live in an all electric flat when i looked at the guide for standard electricity prices it says its 25.951 for tier 1, i don't even understand the charges in this dum booklet.
Basically does this mean that from them telling me it will be £59.00 per month, because of there muck up they will expect me to start paying double? Cause if so they will only get £59.00 per month off me and no more, fact is they send info to me and whether its wrong or not i'll pay what that say's not when they suddenly and coincidentally decide they made a mistake and i have to foot the bill for it.
If this is the case where do you think i stand with this? I was thinking of the energy watchdog or citizens advice. Has this happened to anyone else? What happened with you's and how did you go about this?
