Devil [6] AVOID AXA OF EVIL!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR INSURANCE OR ARE ALREADY WITH AXA INSURANCE BE WEARY. THIS COMPANY WILL DO ANYTHING TO AVOID PAYING CLAIMS. UNLESS YOU HAVE KEPT ALL RECEIPTS, ORIGINAL PACKAGING, INVOICES, CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS, HAVE TAKEN PICTURES OF YOUR PROPERTY & WILLING TO PAY FOR INSPECTIONS YOURSELF THAN DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AXA. THEY USE A METHOD OF FRUSTRATING THE 'CUSTOMER' INTO SUBMISSION BY REPEATING STUPID & IRRELEVANT QUESTIONS UNTIL FINALLY YOU GIVE UP. THEY KNOW THAT SPENDING AN HOUR ANNOYING SOMEBODY IS MUCH MORE COST EFFECTIVE THAN PAYING CLAIMS & THIS IS FULLY SUPPORTED BY THE MANAGEMENT. YOU ARE BETTER OFF BEING UNINSURED THAN PAYING PREMIUMS FOR YEARS & THEN BEING LET DOWN WHEN YOU NEED HELP. THE STRESS THEY CAUSE IS WORSE THAN THE ACTUAL INCIDENT. PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE FROM A PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE. AVOID AXA.

I am not sure if you are an ex-staff member from AXA with a gripe or if you had a claims experience to share with our users. can you be more specific?

H19, I avoid them like the plague after having my shared apartment broken into abroad, myself and my firends policies (with the same insurer) were underwritten by them. We both had exactly the same circumstances, evidence and proof, yet they paid her out and not me! When we called to ask why they said they couldn't discuss each other's cases, and offered me the complaints procedure! By this point, 3 months after she'd been paid and I was still sending them info, I gave up!!!

This is not a gripe, just a fact that potential & existing customersshould consider. It is a money saving tip. If I canstop anyoneusing AXA then hopefully they can avoid the extra stress when they have been unlucky enough to make a claim.

Insurance companies often moan about fraudulent claims but are quite happy to rip off customers. If you like to give money away for years & get nothing in return apart from someone repeating stupid questions until you have to put the phone down on them then AXA are for you. Do not line the pockets of these cowboys, you might be unlucky enough to regret it.

Moderated - Please turn off the Capitals lock when you post, this post was converted to remove the all capital post, it makes it easier to read and is considered shouting to post in all Capital letters. -- Thanks.

I'd still use them for home insurance. I can't see the issue from these posts??

    Re: AVOID AXA OF EVIL!

We also got an annual insurance with some obscure but cheap company (I forget who) who was underwritten by AXA. We had certain pieces of paper which we downloaded, but there was no end date mentioned. Coming up to 10 or 11 months into the contract we were going away again and decided to check it was still in date. That was when we found out about no date on it. We phoned the numbers on the paperwork but could not get any response. the missus got in touch with AXA, and gave them the policy number. They could find no record of our policy. AXA said the policy number we had given them was a standard number that ALL thier policies had! Take that as you will.

As it was nearing the end of the contract we didn't push it, we ended up buying a fresh single trip policy. No harm done, but it could have if we were in trouble in a far away place. I am not automatically saying it was AXA's fault, but I will NEVER buy a policy underwritten by AXA.
