    After Reinspection

Hopefully the last question Ill ask...

The house we're buying was re-inspected earlier in the week to check that the work had been done that was requested before our mortgage funds could be released.

The surveyor was satisfied that everything that had to be done was done, and so said that now they could be released.

What happens now? As the solicitor had already requested the funds before he was told it needed a reinspection, does he need to request them again?

Should we be doing something or do we just wait for the lender to get in touch with the solicitor to say the funds can be released? Should the solicitor be contacting them?

Just checking, as if we should be doing something, then there are only two weeks left on our mortgage offer...

    Thanks

    Re: After Reinspection

Hi...once the re-inspection has been passed as you say the solicitor will set a completion date agreeable with all parties. 5 days before that date the money will be called for by the solicitor and completion will take place. Please confirm his with the solicitor.

    Regards

    Ian

My advice would be to chase everyone involved in the process. Leave nothing to chance and it can't go wrong! Its only the cost of a few phone calls. Good luck.
