    Adverts on MS.com

Why do you have adverts on this site?

    1) They are distracting and pretty much take over almost every single page. The likes of Go Compare is a far better user experience because of the lack of adverts.

    2) I am not sure why you have an advert for cometitors such as Tesco Insurance on a comparison site. Does this show commercial favouritism?

1 and 2. They make advertising revenue from both. They don't mind who pays them. It's called business.

    Hi PeterA,

I think the reality is that it's rare to find a website these days that doesn't have adverts of one kind or another. Off the top of my head, I can perhaps think of the BBC and governmental/charitable websites, but I can't honestly think of many more.

In terms of them being a 'distraction', I'll make sure your message is heard by the relevant people. There is no commercial 'favouritism', I think it's the same as an advert in a newspaper or a magazine.

Many thanks for your feedback. Feel free to email me with any further comments.

    Re: Adverts on MS.com

pop ups and adverts destroy the notion this is a independant comparison site.

We get staff on the site consistenly promoting allegedly the best products around which is again not independant advice as its the consumers decision to be made for themselves not the companys right to tell us.

Im sick of hearing about about n-unions pay as you drive scheme being promoted ,if its a forum member prasing it fine, staff on here have to be seen as impartial and that doesnt exist.

me and landshark have previously protested against this and i will continue too alone if i have to seen as landshark hasnt been around lately.

Only the ones that can afford this level of advertising are able to buy it,i contstantly saw first plus popping up along with various insurance pops ups and adverts.

Meaning aslong as the cash rolls in MSM inadvertanly promote certain companies more than others.

The whole point of a comparison site is for the consumer to compare not the compare site to promote the compainies that effectively keep the site going with advertising.
