    3 mobile phone contract

I have just finished a 18month contract with 3, which | was only advised of when I got the bill. I asked why I was not contacted and offered an upgrade, they advised me that they do not always contact the customer when the contract is coming to an end. We discussed what upgrades they had but I was not happy with any of them. I asked if it they could offer me a better monthly rate as I did not want a new phone , they advised no. I advised them that I wished to cancel the contract, they told me that if I wanted a PUK number I would have to give 60 days notice before the contract could be cancelled. Is this correct? And the fact that I have not signed up to any new deal with them should i have to given so much notice?

    Re: 3 mobile phone contract

To cancel a mobile phone contract you have to send them a letter dicating that you want to cancel.

Most mobile phone companys will not allow you to do it over the phone but a few of them will as long as you give a minimum of 30 days notice. I have never heard of having to give as much notice as they have requested from you.

I would write a letter to Three and also copy the same letter to Oftel, may put the wind up them to settle early.
