life's a ***, the prat who drove off was probably not insured anyway. it's too late now to say you should have paid extra for n c d protection.

I'm not quite sure why you feel frustrated that you are left with 3 years no claims bonus? You have made THREE claims to the insurance company in TWO years! By anyones standards, that's quite a lot! It's not the insurance company's fault that you were hit by a third party who drove off. It's not the insurance company's fault that you car was written off due to vandalism. It's not the company's fault that the wheels were stolen and bodywork damage appeared on your new car. Of course, you could say "It's not my fault either" (And you probably will!), but the loss incurred could not be recovered by the third parties as they were never caught. They are recorded as fault claims. Protected no claims bonus has it's limits. Why should somebody who is a greater risk than the average person be entitled to the same discount?

The clue is in the title: No Claims Bonus

Re: 3 claims in 2 years

    synical as ever vic.

You maybe right but you dont have to be so flippin blatant about it.

Proctected ncd with most insurers is supposed to guard your ncd against at least 2 of the fault claims ,once the 2nd fault claim is made then usually the ncd protection is taken off

it seems a bit harsh to then take 3 years of the policyholder for the 3rd claim, most insurers usually remove two at a time

it seems like the pncd terms of that particular insurer were not as great as others.

I think the word you are looking for is 'Realistic'?

Theres absolutely no point beating around the bush about things. The OP wanted to know why NCD was lost.

Right... and the OP has had THREE FAULT CLAIMS WITHIN TWO YEARS!! Captain123 believes that are not his fault but he has claimed from the insurer which have been unable to recover the loss from a 3rd party... ie. fault claims.

it seems a bit harsh to then take 3 years of the policyholder for the 3rd claim, most insurers usually remove two at a time

Not in the situation as above. The OP is a very high risk person to insure.

it seems like the pncd terms of that particular insurer were not as great as others.

It seems like they've done the job correctly, whoever they may be!
