The depreciation on the  Audi TT is horrendous. They loose 30K bringing them out of the showroom. Second hand sports cars tend to have been abused ( engine wise ) so take care

Since you are looking at a Porsche or Audi, I doubt my suggestion will hold water, but if it was me, I'd buy the top of the range Mazda MX-5 - which is probably the roadster coupe.

Parts are easy to get and the build quality is good.

Compared to a Porsche, my old mazda Eunos doesn't really compare, but to an Audi TT, there is no contest, the mazda wins on the fun factor, insurance and overall the general great feeling you get driving one.

Once driven, you'll be smitten.

Not sure if you have considered any of these two, but I have driven both and they are fantastic:

Mazda RX8 and Nissan 350z.

 The RX8 in particular has a fantastic engine. (Its a rotary engine) I know its not a 2 seater, but it looks absolutley stunning and can hold 4 6ft+ adults!
