    Re: pipex

All I would say to potential Pipex homecall customers is just DONT DO IT. you will just end up like me. I just measured  my bandwith speed. it comes in at 155 KBs that's 3 times the speed of dialup. I signed up to up to 8 Mb's but rarely if ever achieve quarter of that. I signed up to pipex but if I feed my ip address into geektools it turns out my server is Tiscali and the address is

    org-name: Tiscali UK Limited
    org-type: LIR
    address: 20 Broadwick Street
    address: W1F 8HT
    address: London
    address: United Kingdom

I would never sign up to tiscali because there crap.To get this mega good deal I had to sign up for  a year of which my google counter says there are 30 days left. I dread to think what my contention ratio really is but I do know that if it rains my connection will crawl slow and possible stop. I hope my dissapointment with pipex homecall does not show too much and that one day OFCOM will see that the consumer no punter gets a square deal.

    Re: pipex

I have put several posts on the Pipex section. The last one advised they had finally given in and cancelled all the charges so keep trying. Your post is a long time ago so you may have resolved it by now but if not, send a letter to their customer services for the attention of KAYLEIGH BILYARD. She is a senior assistant and, although it dragged on for a while, she finally arranged cancellation of all charges they were demanding.from me. Good Luck.
