    Broadband - Direct Save Telecom

I would like to hear of any experiences (good or bad) with Direct Save Telecom. Their Option 4 package seems to offer a good deal so far as Broadband and free landline calls are concerned but I know nothing about Direct Save Telecom at all. Currently on BT and Orange dial up I want to go to Broadband with hopefully a free calls package but have discounted Orange Broadband Unlimited after discovering you effectively have to give up your existing BT number although they say you don't! (Strictly speaking true but in practice highly impractical.)

I am not interested in a package which includes mobile phone account or huge numbers of TV channels, while Carphone Warehouse's press is enough to put anyone off!

Can anyone offer an answer to this? I'm also interested in some REAL DST experiences. The so-called user reviews seem a little too good to be true. Also, there is no dedicated User Forum for DST on the net (as far as I know) which is slightly concerning.

I've been with them for a few months now and have had no problems. I've recommended them to some friends and they're experience has been OK too.

Re: Broadband - Direct Save Telecom

I am a real customer and am very unhappy with DST. They took my money, telling me it would take 5 days to connect BB and it took over 7 weeks. There is no customer service they just blamed other companies. And it is really not cheaper by the time you include voicemail etc.

And their 28 day rolling contract is a farce -- read the small print.
