    life insurance

my husband and i are in our early 50's. he is disabled, i am his carer. we have very recently cancelled and cashed in an endowment policy because it fell way way short of what we need to clear our mortgage + top up loan. we need 50k life insurance to cover this mortgage and loan. the mortgage itself is repayment and will be paid off in 12 years, however at that time we will require to come up with 20k unless we have already cleared this. the money from the cashed in endowment is going to clear off other debts. basically i think we need life insurance for 50k but i don't know which would be best for us. i didn't know there were so many types. can you advice please.

Hi --- You would probably get advice from other members by registering with the benefits and disability site, "yourable.com" they have a forum dedicated to the help and advice of carers and disabled persons, they have advisors who actually work for the DWP and voluntarily give great advice for free, along with other contributing members who will have solved the very problem faced by yourselves who could point you in the right direction.
