I've recently placed an order for a Moben kitchen and put a 10% deposit down. Due to surfing the net and finding some bad reviews on Moben i'm having second thoughts. What are the chances of me getting my deposit back?

Hi Lisa -- What date did you enter this agreement, was the rest of the balance dependant on credit, and were you at your home when you entered the agreement. ?

Oh & does it state on the agreement anything about your deposit being refundable. ?

I actually signed an agreement a few weeks ago i think. The rest of the balance is due on the delivery of the kitchen which is next thursday 20th. Moben think i will be taking out their finance but i'd taken a loan to settle it. Yes i was at home and i can't find anything on my paper work about the deposit being refundable. In fact it says nothing about the deposit.

Hi --- It's too late to cancel and get a refund of your deposit in that case even had it been dependent on the balance being financed.

One suggestion is pay the balance on your credit card if possible or a friend / relatives... then re-pay your card immediately using the loan after the work is completed, at least if there are faults or delays, poor / faulty workmanship, bad fitting, bankruptcy or any messing around, you can hold your credit card issuer liable and seek a refund from your CC under the consumer credit act, if you pay cash or cheque you won't have that protection.
