can anyone out there help me,i have been swapping credit cards to avoid paying interest once the balance transfer 0% offer is up and balance transfering it over to another card to get the 0% again for the special period,but someone recently told me this could effect my credit history,is this true and how come.would really like some advice on this one.

each time you apply for credit a credit search is done which leaves a footprint on your credit file. Generally if you have lots of these it can have an adverse affect on your credit file. In your case i guess you will be doing this every 6-12 months so really i wouldn't worry about it too much. The only thing i would suggest is that when you clear a cards balance ring the card provider to cancel the card as if you don't it will still appear as available credit on your file and lenders do not want to see too much available debt as you could go blow it all in one go and get into some trouble. All people want to see is an affordable amount of debt being managed effectively and this is what you are doing!!
