"NEW" (Magnet) MFI: better, worse, no change?

“NEW” (Magnet) MFI: better, worse, no change?

I recently agreed an appointment to see an MFI ‘designer’ at home and then return to the store with him for the ‘CAD’ part, a few days before the appointment. On the day half an hour after the appointed time I called his mobi, which went straight to v/m, and left a message asking for an eta. He didn’t turn up and never replied to the v/m. Subsequently I e-mailed the store and gave his name and number and asked for an explanation. No reply. When the appointment was made he had to consult his manager about something relating to the appointment and he confirmed that he had done so. So he didn’t turn up in the full knowledge that his manager may well find out that he hadn’t turned up.

Hardly an impressive performance for a company so keen to shake off its past.

Do any members have any views on MFI?

    Thank you, drumster.

Apart from a visit to the store with a view to having a kitchen designed and fitted, I've had no dealings with them. I was wandering round the kitchen bit for a good 15 minutes with the lazy rissoles sat round looking at me as though I was an inconvenience to their business without so much as a 'hello'.

Not the perfect way to portray an image of professionalism and a company with products of quality and style. I shudder to think how they were before 'the change'.

    My kitchen dilemma remains unresolved...

Re: "NEW" (Magnet) MFI: better, worse, no change?

I wrote a polite round up letter to the head of CS at MFI including the information in my opening thread. No reply. So the 'designer' didn't bother, the manager didn't bother and the head of CS hasn't bothered. So I thought it's a small example but significant so I won't touch them. Then I read the current Moben kitchens post when a member said she wished she had read the reviews before getting involved with them. Prompted by this I put "MFI bad reviews" into Google and it turned up The Reviewcentre AND 87 reviews creating a truly awful picture of MFI.
