    Car Sharing and 2 policies?

After many budgeting considerations my boyfriend and i have come to the conclusion that we can cope with car sharing in hope of saving a bit of cash. I have agreed to put him on my current AA car insurance policy as a named driver.

I however have had an accident and claimed on my policy in the last year. My insurance has gone up a fair amount and i have lost my no claims bonus. At 22 i can just about afford my car yet i most certainly cant afford another crash.

My worry is if my boyfriend crashes the car i will get saddled with a higher premium on my car insurance. Therefore is it possible to have 2 policies on one car (one his and one mine) or is this getting into too many complications/ legal issues?

I hope someone has the answer.

    Thanks

The best solution is for you both not to have any accidents. Most drivers go several years without even a minor bump.
