Hi

I'm moving from Ireland to the UK and I was planning to buy a campervan to do the trip and then use it on weekends to see the country. I found that, here in Ireland, you can't get insurance for a campervan unless you own another car, but I'm selling mine in order to buy the campervan.

Does anybody know if the same restrictions apply in the UK?

It didn't apply a few years back when i considered the same thing, but I found it very difficult to get quotes on amateur conversions. They all wanted a well known coachbuilder's name. BB

in the uk there are many older people who use a small motorhome as their only vehicle ; I presume they are insured!!!
