    rbs rights issue

i am a small shareholder in this bank.as this investment was to cover for the expenses of my demise . i am loath to stump up a sum of money to bail out profligate borrowers on the fast buck housing track.i seem to remember in the dim and distant past that i could sell my rights in the market but due to indolence and anno domini and the changes in internet procedures i would appreciate advice as to how i should proceed. thanks

Don't worry you'll be sent a form showing your entitlement and how to sell or take up your rights. Totally agree with your comment but don't disadvantage yourself because most banks couldn't manage a drink up in McDonalds! Watch the national papers when you receive the form and see if it is attractive for you to take up the rights. If you don't your stake in the company is diluted - your % in the company. The London Stock Exchange (Google it if necessary) shows share prices and may have more info. If you are online with Halifax you can check share prices. Hargreaves Lansdown's website is helpful.
