    help from credit card companies

    i have 20,000 £ in debt from credit cards and a loan i am unable to keep up with the payments and i dodnt have a job so can i get time from the creditors to pay a small amount till i get job

    hi yes you should,be able to, i take it you were employed when you took out the cards speak to the card companies and tell them the situation - ask if they can reduce or put the interest on hold or they may accept lower payments - they may still charge you late payment fees for about 6 months or so then they may put you on a repayment plan - talk to payplan - they are a company who will work with you and the creditors to come to an agreement - you do not pay them some companies will charge - stear clear of those speak to national debt line for example its a free service
