An insurance premium is set by calculating many different variables. The common known fact is that the lower the insurance group, the cheaper the premium (providing that it conforms to other common factors, no modifications, or imported vehicles). It might be of use visiting http://www.parkers.co.uk/insurance/groups/default.aspx where you are either able to look up the grouping by specific vehicle, or looking up vehicles by grouping!
Stick to groups 1-3 to start with!
