Car Finance ( i'm discharged bankrupt but fiancee has ok credit rating)?

Looking to buy a new-used car? My girlfriend has a needs improvement credit rating according to Money Supermarket. I have been discharged since December, and since got a back account with Halifax and credit card with Capitol One.

Im self-employed, and my partner works full time ( started 3 weeks ago )

Want to look into buying a new-used car, does anyone have any advice on our situation?

    Thanx in advance

Buy what you can afford to pay for today. It's too much hassle and worry getting involved with fanance companies, in my view, and there are plenty of decent vehicle available for not a lot of money if you know what to look for.

thanks for the reply. what we were looking for though was a cheap car (on monthly payments) as we stay outwith the main town where my girl works and she relies on a non reliable lift to work and the train/bus service is bad and to infrequent.

i normally buy 2nd hand old cars but was looking for something more reliable for my girl as she drops our daughter off at nursery.

if anyone knows a good and cheap (fingers crossed) finance company any onformation would be apopreciated.

    thanks in advance

    i recomend consider leasing

if your GF has an ok credit file then get her to test the water

dont go to a dealership. Try online

if you can get over the mental block of not actually owning the car then its the only way to go.

    benefits are ...

    NEW CARS

    NO ROAD TAX

    COVERED BY WARRANTY

ONLY PAY THE DEPRECIATION + a small margin

SMALL 3x PAYMENT DEPOSIT WHICH INCLUDES FIRST MONTH PAYMENT

    LOADS OF DEALS

I have been doing this for my last four cars and every 3 years i get another new one. (my current car is on a 2 year contract).
