    Insurance Claim Pending Query

    Hi

I was in a car accident over 2 and a half years ago. I was driving along a road and a man walked infront of the car. It turns out he had been drinking heavily and I was advised by my insurance company that he would not be successful if he tried to make a claim against me. Next thing I know I get the letter saying he was making a claim. When my insurance renual came up my monthly premium had gone from £50 odd pounds a month to £110 (or somwthihg around these figures). This was because while the claim was pending on me I had my 2/3 years No Claims suspended and could not do anything about it.

I since moved to another insurance company as could not afford to pay that much money. I have had several letters since from my old company saying that they have had no response from the person I injureds solicior after they disputed the claim and i can have my no claims back a year from their latest correspondance, which will be in several months.

What i am wanting to know is there any way I can claim back from a general loss of money from paying a higher premium with having no claims etc which i reckon must come to about £1300+?

    Thanks

Counter claim against the drunken Bum! He cant exactly defend himself as he probably cant remember sh*t!

    Get yourself a solicitor.....

    Just food for thought!
