    refused Insurance

Last year I tried to make a claim on my household contents policy for a laptop that had been damaged.

After making the claim I was told by the insurance company that they would not be paying out for the claim as I had failed to disclose claims made previously with a prior insurance company. There were two claims highlighted, and to be honest, one of them I had forgotten about and the other was not a claim (or so I thought) I called with regards a freezer that had failed and decided not to claim as it was,nt worth the bother to claim for it. Little did I know this would be classed as a loss and registered with them as such!! My previous two years premiums were returned and now when I try to buy contents insurance via the internet I get a big no no. Can anyone advise?

    Thanks

    AJ

You might need to go to a broker! Saving you time and energy. Let them do the work for you.

    Good luck!

    Just food for thought!

Monkey, if you persue this with a letter (record it!) stating your case the insurer will eventually pay out for the loss. They are forced to. Don't be worrying about your loss, it will be paid out, by your insurer. They cannot avoid this claim. Make sure you send this letter, with a threat to take your complaint to the ombudsman. They probably think they are in the right, but I assure you they are not!

However, just reading on you mention your two years premiums were returned? With the same company? Can you explain this part please...

    Kind Regards,
