    TalkTalk advice, and broadband advice

hey, first post registered here to get some info.

Im currently on dial up on talktalk, not sure which tarrif, and want to cancel so that i can get broadband, but from another compony after reading lots of bad comments from all over the internet about talktalk broadband and its bad customer services. so since many of you have had experience in trying to cancel talktalk contracts, i would like to know exactly how to go about the cancelation of the contract, without any problems (hopefully)

also id like to know what broadband is actually good, after reading the forum here, i see that most of these providers are bad with speeds etc, so id like to know which one is actually good,

i live in cumbria, so i cannot get certain services. what im looking for is unlimited usage, and a good speed, since i play online games (very hard might i add with dial up <.<) thanks for replies in advance.

EDIT: forgot to mention, we are in a 18month contract and are currently in the 17th month, the conract ends in december.

Re: TalkTalk advice, and broadband advice

Hi --- You will have to see the contract out until expiry in December, you normally have to give written confirmation according to your contract, usually 30 days before you want the service to end, the cancellation terms will be in the contract fine print.

You can send this letter 30 days prior to the contract expiry date, to ensure your service end coincides with the same date that your contract finishes, you will then be free to take up service with another provider once you obtain your MAC code.

If you post in the broadband ask the expert forum including your postcode, Jason the MS expert usually replies, telling you who will offer the best deal for your circumstances.
