Hi, Can anybody help me?
I have a Whirlpool Fridge Freezer model number ARC4178, its about 18 months old now. One of the functions it has is an alarm if the doors been open too long or the compartments are too warm, this is a beeping noise every 5 seconds or so.
A few days ago, it started making a beeping noise when the door was closed but only once every minute. Does anybody know what might be causing this? I have tried the troubleshooting instructions in the manual to no avail and Whirlpools own website is currently being refurbished so have no way of accessing their technical information. I have tried to call their technical support number but its only open during office hours - useful! and i'm at work so can't spend time holding for a technician.
If anybody can offer any advice i'd be grateful as the persisiting beep its driving me mad and i'm worried i'll arrive home one evening and find its blown up and burnt the house down or something equally as paranoid..
