Hello all,
I just would like to talk a little about getting a car insurance in UK to a car that has not been and will not be registered in the UK.
As a background, the car is officially cleared technically ok in Germany this summer (Audi A6, year 2004, new model), next technical inspection scheduled to year 2009 and it has been serviced regularily in Audi service so you would think that it is not going to break down all of a sudden. The driver hasn't been in an accident since 1987. The driver has no-claim benefits from 14 years of no-claim history. The yearly mileage will be way under 10.000miles.
So, could someone tell me why it seems to be impossible to have an insurance to a car/driver like that? Not even for a shorter time, until next summer.
It just makes me wonder why is this so.
Ideas, anyone?
