    Internet in UK & France

I am currently with Orange France, but need to use the internet when I travel to UK for a 6 week stay every year, what are my options? I've looked at Freeola PAYG but problem is my Virgin landline in UK charges 6p/min for 0845 numbers so it works out expensive. If I could find cheap "cancellation fees" on contract broadband it may be worth paying the penalty.

    What do you think?

    Many thanks

    Trix

Some companies offer broadband without contracts if you pay the activation fee (about £50).

If you are in a 3G area, and you don't need broadband speed, a Three mobile might be an option. They are very cheap.

Or, if there is a neighbour with wireless, you could do a deal with them to use their connection?

Thanks, do you know which companies charge the activation fee?

Allcomm do. Have a look at their website here: www.allcomm.co.uk - click on ADSL and you will see some paid activation packages.

The website looks a bit crappy, but their service is very good. We re-sell their ADSL and use it here in the office.

Thanks again - I've visited the site, looks like this is going to be the one for me.
